Funeral Arrangements

We can now confirm that the funeral of Graham Webb (Webby) will take place on Thursday 13th April.

Graham had expressed clearly that he would like his funeral to be a celebration of his life and to be centred at the Silhillians. Therefore we invite everyone to join us at the Sils either at 1150hrs to say goodbye to Graham or at 1315 hrs to join us in a short ceremony to celebrate Graham’s life. You would of course be most welcome at both.

Graham was also clear that the crematorium ceremony was not how he wanted to be remembered and that the celebration at the Silhillians Club was where he wished friends and family to gather. We would ask you to respect Graham’s wishes and join us at the Club.

Additionally the family asks that anyone attending the celebration of Graham’s life considers wearing bright “Hawaiian look” shirts in keeping with his style and his wishes.

The proceedings for the day will be as follows. Please note that timings are approximate.

1150hrs
Graham will arrive at the Silhillians and pause for a short time adjacent to the 1st team pitch. All are invited to attend to pay their respects and to say goodbye to Graham.

1200hrs
Graham, family and a very few close friends will depart for Robin Hood Crematorium where there will be a private ceremony.

The facilities of the Club will be available whilst the family attends the crematorium.

1315hrs
Everyone is invited to the Silhillians where words will be spoken in remembrance and celebration of Graham’s life. This will be the time to remember and reflect on the life of our much loved friend, Partner, Dad, Son, Grandad, Brother and Uncle.

Following this ceremony the bars will be open, as Graham would have wanted! Food will be served; generously provided by The Old Silhillians’ Association and Silhillians RUFC.

We would ask that there are no flowers, however if anyone would wish to make a donation to a charity Graham was a supporter of the RFU Injured Players Foundation and also The British Heart Foundation.

Linda, Will and Rob.
