It’s been a rollercoaster of a start to life at level 5. We knew there would be a step up across the board and the early stages of the season would be about getting up to speed with the quality of the league as quickly as possible. Looking back, we can be really happy with how far we’ve come in a short space of time.

Results wise, we’ve registered two great wins at home, one against our old friends Kenilworth who we’ve had to work hard to earn the right to play again. The other against Long Eaton was particularly satisfying as we last played them at level 6 where they did the double over us. It’s great to see two sides from that league making the step up to this level and they’re always good fun to play against.

The two away losses gave us some valuable lessons and a chance to grace the bars of Banbury and Bridgnorth, two great spots to play rugby (and thanks to Banbury for the free warmup top).

Congrats to player of the month Luke Hoey, an epic shift at tight head across all 4 games, we wish him a speedy recovery from his hurty finger.
