The club house Is being redeveloped

Yes, believe it or not we are about to start the season proper again! The current fixture list is attached (although note that this is subject to change) and will be uploaded to the club website.

Some “housekeeping”:

1. Due to the refurbishment of the clubhouse, for the first few months of the season there will be limited car parking although the playing space will not be compromised. Wherever possible can you try to carshare please as parking will be very tight.

2. In order to minimise the impact of limited parking a staggered start time will be in place:

· U6 to U10 will train 0900 - 1030

· U11 to U14 (i.e. us as u12s this season) will train 1100 - 1230

· U15 have booked Arden for training and home matches

· U16 will use Camp Hill for training and home matches

· Colts play on Sunday afternoon

We do appreciate this may make life difficult for those of you with younger and older children, but unfortunately we have had to make some compromises to make sure as many as possible are able to train at Sils.

3. There will be some temporary changing rooms (portacabin type) and portaloos in place. As of yet there will be no food or drinks available.

4. You will recall that we are responsible for the shop this year. Given the above, arrangements for the shop will be a little challenging! The shop will NOT be open on the first weekend but will need to be open between 1000 - 1200 from the 7th September for weekends when we are at home (this means we can cover both of the staggered start times). Mandy Garside has kindly volunteered to coordinate this and she will need volunteers to assist on a rota basis – please contact her on . johnandmandyg@yahoo.co.uk. We are hopeful that an end of life portacabin/site office can be purchased to form a permanent shop (Dave Fleming, the M&J Chair, is liaising with the building contractors and the OSA to see what can be done on this - it might be possible to have this sited at the back of the pigsty where the scanner waiting room currently is located). Some clothing will also be available via the club website and I have asked that a summary of these (and how you access them) is provided – once I have this I will forward it on.

5. I have attached this year’s registration form (it is also on the Sils website). Please note it is now two pages and enables parents to become members of the senior section via the family subscription. Can you all please note that even if you make payment electronically I will still need a hard copy of the completed form to hand to the new registrations secretary, Verity Brown as soon as possible to ensure all players are registered promptly.

Any queries please do let me know – look forward to seeing you next Sunday.

Cheers

Pete
