It was a very disrupted morning with illness, lost equipment and the sad loss of a family pet all affecting the team before the match. Maybe because of this the Sirens started the game slowly with a couple of missed tackles and allowed Kenilworth to get up a head of steam.
The game continued to present a number of challenges with the first half rarely offering the opportunity to show what we had in attack.
A good start to the second half saw a fantastic kick chase, turn over and then excellent handling to run in our first try of the game.
With no bench to bring on the Sirens continued to work hard in the second half with some great hits and a couple of turnovers and showed great team spirit to keep heads in the game.
However Kenilworth continued to demonstrate their class in both attack and defence, running out clear winners despite a late score from the dancing feet of Beth Wyn Davies.
