Silhillians RUFC would like to announce that after 6 incredible years at the helm, Director of Rugby Tom Manise will be stepping away from the club. The decision hasn’t been easy for him, but with the opportunity to join Bournville RFC in National 2 as a coach, it’s a move that’s hard to turn down.

Tom’s departure comes at a time when the club is in an extremely healthy position, largely thanks to his own tireless work. He has been instrumental in driving standards at Sils, seeing us promoted as high as Midlands Regional 1, the most prestigious level in the club’s history.

Tom’s coaching acumen can be seen on the pitch, with Sils adopting an exciting brand of rugby, built on a foundation of heart and respect for one another. Off the pitch, Tom has made a lasting impact with the countless hours of unsung work that helps make a rugby club what it is.

Everyone at Sils wishes Tom the very best in his coaching career, and we look forward to seeing him back at the club when he brings his boys along to the junior setup. Nevertheless, he will be greatly missed by everyone here.
