Sils were steam rollered by a well drilled Old Laurentians outfit who won comfortably 43-12 running in 6 tries.
However it was Sils who started the strongest. Fullback Jim Roper crossed the line after 5mins and Harry Law converted. 0-7.
Sils were struggling up front against a big, mobile OL's pack but maintained their lead for 20 mins before the hosts hit top gear. They ran in 5 converted tries to lead 35-7 at half time.
The second half was a different story. Sils restricted OL's to an unconverted try and a penalty before Sils ran in a consolation try through centre Si Doherty.
