After 11 frustrating games without a win Sils finally put together a solid 80 minutes performance to see off an ill disciplined Earlsdon side.
Within six minutes Sils had established a 14-0 lead thanks to tries from wing Stu Clarke and fullback Alex Kirke. Both tries were converted by the trusty boot of Harrison Law.
By the mid point of the first half Earlsdon has crossed the line twice and levelled the score at 14-14.
The turning point in the game came just before the half time whistle. At a ruck in the middle of the pitch the Earlsdon No.8 was adjudged to have used his boot excessively and was yellow carded.
Changing ends with the scores level Sils began to dominate their opposition in the second half. Further scores from second row Ben Trenchard, scrum half Tom Lee and fullback Matt Lee extended the advantage to 31-14 and ensured Sils of a try bonus point.
Earlsdon got within sight of a losing bonus point when they scored a converted try to make it 31-21. However Sils control of the game only seemed to frustrate the Coventry side as a crazy 10 minutes of ill discipline saw them receive 3 yellow cards and a red card for a repeat offence by the careless No.8.
The bonus point win sees Sils extend the gap between themselves and bottom placed club Barker Butts'.
Sils hope to welcome back a number of influential players in the run up to christmas.
This Saturday Sils travel to third placed Hereford. Kick off 2.15.
There is a supporters coach leaving the Sils car park at 11.45 prompt.
